Blender 3.0 - pose library Posted on 28 May 2021 by David Haden Posted in Companion software, Spotted in the News, The Animation Industry 1 Comment Blender 3.0 will apparently enable users to have a Pose Library and save presets to it… It’s still in development and looks very far from making Blender a drop-in replacement for DAZ / Poser, but it should be useful for some. I actually was going to post a link to this news on the Renderosity forum. Sure this pose library is still in its early days but Blender advances way faster than Poser does and the Bondware folks really need to give people a reason to keep paying money to buy Poser when Blender is free and powerful, and in constant development.
This week I finally installed Blender out of frustration that Poser had no fluid simulator, and you know what? All it would take for me to permanently switch away from Poser for good is a better pose library and …I think that’s it. Maybe if Blender also had a geometric edge mode too I suppose although I still prefer to hand-trace my renders.
