Da Vinci’s glider
Wow, a lovely new Da Vinci glider from London224, based on the famous medieval-era design. Plus a pose for M4. Poser-only, so I’m not sure how it looks in DAZ. Want!
I can imagine this with a Mad Max-style post-apocalyptic steampunk pilot, flying over the ruined cities scenes I posted on yesterday.
Stonemason ruins it again!
New Stonemason content! He has a new set of detailed Rubble 2 props and Rubble 3 pack, to accompany his previous Rubble 1 pack. As with all Stonemason, you know the quality you’ll get is going to be superb in either Daz or Poser.
These props add to Stonemason’s now increasingly complete City Ruins series for DAZ Studio and Poser:
City Ruins: Vehicles
Derelict Urban Corners
City Ruins one
City Ruins two
City Ruins three
City Ruins four
If the thought of lighting and getting a distance-haze in such large spaces puts you off, have a look at Dreamlight’s quality Light and Go: Urban Ruins and his light set Earthquake for City Ruins.
See also my step-by-step tutorial on getting distance haze and weather effects on big urban scenes in DAZ Studio 3.
Tron-tastic!
New at Runtime DNA, a cool little Sci-Fi Lounge stage set, currently on sale at just $2.50 until 21st July 2013. Comes with lights. Daz users should note that the materials only work in Poser.
Puss in Boots
The developer of Crossdresser, the useful software to convert clothes for DAZ Studio and Poser, has just released some new character conversion modules. Now on offer is a Sassafras license for the excellent new semi-toon cat. Now you can assemble him/her a cool 17th century sword-fighting outfit and some ten-gallon boots — to get a ‘Puss in Boots’.
To the stars!
Remember that old children’s book on outer space when you were a kid, the one with an awesome 1950s painting of the little astronomer watching the stars through an enormous telescope? London224’s super new MS13 Discovery Telescope is the telescope you need to recreate such scenes in DAZ Studio and Poser.
He also has a super new Steampunk Fish…
He’s the guy who did the recent fabulous Trojan Horse, and it’s great to see modelling of this quality. But do be careful of his new Time Machine model, — as it’s a little too similar to the machine designed for the recent movie remake of The Time Machine (terrible movie, by the way, get the 1960 version instead). That design is skirting a little too close to movie copyrights, so I’d stick to non-commercial use only for that particular model.
